The Glover Park Group (GPG), a leading strategic communications and government relations firm, is seeking an eager junior professional to join our Media Planning & Placement team.  This position offers the opportunity to experience all parts of managing and executing advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate is expected to help manage day-to-day execution of advertising campaigns for our clients and assist in the development of media plans, campaign performance reports and other client-ready deliverables.  This position is based in our Washington, D.C. office.


Responsibilities

  • Assist senior members of the media planning team in devising advertising campaign strategy and campaign plans
  • Interact with external vendors to ensure on-time delivery of plans, creative and performance data
  • Coordinate with GPG Creative and Analytics teams on campaign production and set-up
  • Day-to-day management of social media buys, including making regular optimizations based on performance
  • Work with GPG finance staff to track and record invoices and vendor bills
  • Perform basic research and writing tasks
  • Provide administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • A BA/BS degree in a related field, plus 1-2 years of relevant internship or work experience
  • Strong interest in all aspects of digital media and advertising
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with creative problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure 

  • Strong communication, project management and time management skills 

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
