The Glover Park Group is seeking an Associate Director for its growing Research Division in the company’s Washington, DC office. At GPG, we believe research is the cornerstone of any communications campaign. The Research Division specializes in using opinion, market, and digital research to both inform and evaluate public affairs campaigns, branding, and corporate strategy. This person will work closely with senior staff on the Research team and across the firm to develop and implement all aspects of research plans.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research plans including proposal development, instrument design, analysis with actionable and strategic recommendations, and presenting findings
  • Construct and conduct a range of digital analyses for clients using business intelligence and media analysis, such as digital landscape analyses, source mapping, influencer identification, and persona development
  • Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, efficiently delegating to team members and using internal resources
  • Provide direction for and evaluate new research methods
  • Follow and report on new industry trends, digital culture and best practices for the department
  • Support new business initiatives to include research, proposal development, and client presentations
  • Travel occasionally for research engagements

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in the public opinion/market research field or an advanced degree in statistics or opinion research required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong writer and analytical thinker with the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
  • Experience with SPSS, STATA or other statistical analysis software a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with social and digital analytic tools and analysis, such as Brandwatch, Sysomos, Spredfast, etc. is preferred
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines without sacrificing product quality
  • Extremely organized, detailed-oriented and collaborative, but able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Agency experience strongly preferred
