Matthew Beck is a Vice President in the Strategic Communications Division at The Glover Park Group, providing a range of media relations and reputation management services to clients. Matthew oversees and executes national public affairs campaigns, and provides crisis and litigation support as well as tactical counsel for clients seeking to influence policy debates and outcomes.
Prior to joining GPG, Matthew served as the Communications Director and Policy Advisor for the Majority Staff of the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means, serving as lead spokesperson and managing media relations for the body.
At the Ways and Means Committee, Matthew worked with its Members, Congressional Leadership, and Administration Officials to develop legislation and coordinate outreach on initiatives related to tax, trade, health care and social welfare policy.
Prior to his work on the Ways and Means Committee, Matthew managed communications and media relations for U.S. Representative Sander Levin, the late U.S. Representative Robert Matsui and U.S. Representative Brian Baird.
A graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, Matthew majored in International Relations with a minor in Spanish.
