Leading strategic communications and government affairs firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) today announced that Max Gleischman has joined as a Vice President. Gleischman will work in the Strategic Communications practice, and will focus on the firm’s growing international practice.
Gleischman joins GPG after spending the past year as director of communications and spokesperson for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power.
Prior to the U.N., Gleischman spent seven years working for then Assistant Majority Leader Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), most recently as communications director and previously as national press secretary.
“Max is a talented press strategist with experience developing communications strategies and issue-based campaigns,” said GPG Managing Director Jason Miner. “He also brings to our firm a deep knowledge of international issues which will be of great benefit to our increasingly global presence.”
Prior to joining Senator Durbin’s office, Gleischman spent three years working for Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) in both his Washington office and on his Wisconsin-based campaigns. Gleischman started his career in 2004 as the press secretary for Senator Feingold’s reelection campaign.
