Leading strategic communications and government affairs firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) announced today that Katie Myler has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Myler will work in GPG’s Strategic Communications division, based out of the New York office, providing crisis, strategic and media counsel for the firm’s broad range of clients.
Myler comes to GPG from Burson-Marsteller where she was based in London and New York, working with clients which included Ford Motor Company, Accenture, Heineken, and Dow.
“Katie’s distinguished background in communications at the highest corporate and political levels, in the UK and in the US, makes her a tremendous talent to add to GPG,” said Mike Feldman, GPG founder and managing director and head of the New York office. “We look forward to applying her vast expertise and sure-footed instincts to our clients’ trickiest challenges and biggest opportunities.”
Previously, Myler served in the British Government as senior advisor to the Home Secretary and the Secretary of State for Health. Myler also spent several years covering news and politics in broadcast television in London and the US, including as North American bureau chief based in New York during Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 U.S. presidential election.
Myler said, “I am absolutely thrilled to join GPG at such an exciting time in their growth. It has never been a more interesting or important time to be at the intersection of communications and politics, and I have always considered GPG to be a trailblazer in that field.”
