Leading strategic communications and government affairs firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) today announced that Jocelyn Moore has joined its Government Relations practice as a Managing Director. Moore will provide strategic political and legislative counsel on a broad range of issues and manage the firm’s Health + Wellness practice.
Moore joins GPG with 15 years of experience in the United States Senate, most recently serving as the Deputy Staff Director of the Senate Finance Committee. As a member of Senator Ron Wyden’s senior leadership team, Moore advised on all issues before the Senate Finance Committee relating to taxes, health care, energy, human services, pensions, Social Security, transportation and trade.
“You name the issue—health care, tax, trade, entitlements—and Jocelyn has been a pivotal policy player on all of them for the last decade,” said Joel Johnson, Managing Director and head of GPG’s Government Relations practice. “We are fortunate to welcome her as a colleague and excited about the impact she’ll have on our work.”
Prior to joining the Senate Finance Committee, Moore served as Senator Wyden’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Policy Director and as Legislative Director for Senator John D. Rockefeller IV. As Senator Rockefeller’s long-time health policy advisor, she led the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Health Care and helped write key portions of the Affordable Care Act.
Moore, a Georgia native and two-time graduate of the University of Florida, began her career in the office of Senator Zell Miller. She later worked as a senior policy advisor to Senator Bob Graham.
