We are looking for a Content Strategist who can help us develop owned media and native advertising campaigns from concept to production.

The ideal candidate is an exceptionally strong writer; has worked either on the editorial side of a digital media company or in social media marketing; is fully fluent in Twitter, Facebook and YouTube; is adept at simplifying the complex; and is conversant in public affairs and business news.

You’ll be a part of a team of digital strategists, writers, designers, developers and media buyers—crafting smart solutions for clients. You’ll work on a wide range of issues. You’ll juggle a variety of details. You’ll perform under a variety of deadlines.

The position is in our Washington, D.C. office.


  • Write and write and write, including: brand newsroom articles, blog posts, deck presentations, op-eds, TV scripts, digital ads, ad copy, issue briefs and recommendation memos.
  • Produce written content for multimedia campaigns that include features, video, photography, experiential, and social media
  • Conduct interviews.
  • Compile research.
  • Assist in strategic planning, from generating ideas to writing presentations.
  • Assist in editorial management of content campaigns and content calendars.
  • Actively participate in group creative process


  • You can demonstrate a superior, efficient writing ability.
  • You have 2-3 years of experience in journalism, media, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • You can manage content management systems, Google Analytics reports, and the ins and outs of digital publishing platforms.
