The Glover Park Group (GPG), a leading strategic communications firm, is seeking to hire a temporary consultant Project Manager (PM) to be onsite with the agency’s Creative Studio, in our Washington, D.C. office. The time period is be from October 2018 through March 2019.

The consultant in this role will take responsibility for creative assignments, ensuring completion on time, within budget and against objectives and will be able to confidently address needs, resources and successfully manage the creative process from concept and strategy through design, development and execution.


Responsibilities

The ideal consultant is an enthusiastic problem solver, a key point of contact and plays a pivotal role in the success of all engagements in the Creative Studio. The PM is our project liaison between the client, account team, and the creative team as well as manager with external partner relationships. The candidate must have experience in leading all aspects of a project, work well in a group, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced, creative environment, and work effectively and calmly under deadlines. ​

Projects include, but are not limited to: video, TV, print, digital, social, radio, design and website development.

Roles include, but are not limited to: project and account manager, traffic and production manager, resources coordinator and quality controller.

  • Project Management
    • Defines and maintains scope and leads project with input from account, creative and technical teams
    • Own project from creative brief through production, with the rest of the creative team, produce everything from draft to final creative assets for clients
    • Coordinate with creative team to design and produce print, digital, content and videos
    • Quality control of deliverables and ensure team is meeting client and account team needs
  • Account Management
    • Maintain consistent communications between the Creative Studio and GPG account leaders – tracks project communication, updates, creates status list and initiates approval process
    • Proactively manage multiple work streams and client/account relationships simultaneous
  • Traffic & Production Management
    • Manage production process and advocate for creative and agency in the project cycle
    • Create, plan and actively manage project calendars, and enforce deadlines
    • Manage production of paid media and owned media assets (traditional and digital)
    • Generate project and proposal estimates and budget management
    • Determine, organize and implement efficient processes/systems within Studio and make improvements
  • Resource Management
    • Daily coordination with outside partners and vendors, as projects dictate
    • Monitor Studio capacity, track internal and freelance needs, initiate required paperwork, NDAs and review incoming invoices associated with project

Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of significant experience in the responsibilities listed above
  • Experience working in a creative/in-house agency/production environment
  • Ability to independently manage processes, internal and external partners and ideally experience in digital project management
  • Experience in all aspects of traditional and digital production, account and project management – specific experience and expertise in digital and social a plus
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to manage colleagues above and below the position
  • Sharp attention to detail and drive for perfection – able to evolve thinking with project development
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
