We are seeking a research associate to join the firm’s Research & Insights practice.  This position is based in our Washington, DC office.


  • Develop and implement all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research plans including administration of research methods
  • Conduct analysis of quantitative, qualitative, and digital research including development of research findings and recommendations that inform communications strategies
  • Meet aggressive deadlines without sacrificing product quality, while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work across practice groups and develop relationships with senior staff, peers, and other members of the Research & Insights practice
  • Support new business initiatives by writing and editing proposals and client presentations
  • Follow and report on new industry trends, digital research tools and innovations, and best practices for the Research & Insights practice
  • Travel occasionally for research engagements


  • 2-6 years’ experience in the public opinion/market research field; an advanced degree in Statistics is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong writer and analytical thinker with the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, including outstanding proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with SPSS, STATA or other statistical analysis software a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with social and digital analytic tools and analysis
  • Strong team player with initiative, resourcefulness, and desire to work hard
