Leading strategic communications and government affairs firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) announced today that Andrew King will join its government relations practice as Managing Director. King will serve as a counselor to a broad array of GPG clients, with a particular focus on foreign policy challenges and international affairs.
King is a Capitol Hill veteran, having spent two decades working for Senator Lindsey Graham, and serving as his Deputy Chief of Staff. Recently, he managed several independent expenditure efforts, with an emphasis on strong national security and the economy. King is the co-founder of the 150PAC.ORG, a bipartisan PAC focused on federal candidates supportive of international affairs.
“I’m delighted to welcome Andrew to our team,” said Joel Johnson, managing director and head of GPG’s government relations practice. “In a time of great uncertainty in an interconnected world, Andrew’s experience and relationships in that arena significantly strengthen our capacity to manage client challenges around the globe.”
The Glover Park Group – along with London-headquartered Finsbury and Germany-based Hering Schuppener – recently announced the formation of a strategic partnership to offer communications and public affairs counsel on a unified global platform. The partnership provides clients access to an international network of more than 500 professionals with backgrounds in public and media relations, finance and investment banking, journalism, the law, policy, government and research.
Since 2016, King has served as the Director of Business Development for North American Rescue, a company dedicated to decreasing preventable deaths by providing medical equipment to governments, law enforcement and EMS. He is a member of the Board of Directors of No Greater Sacrifice, an organization dedicated to honoring service members by investing in their children through education.
